Professional Copywriting

I’ve always thought of myself as a “content” writer. I love stories. I love to encourage people through personal stories. I love to make people laugh by writing about family mishaps and silly kids. I enjoy writing stories that make people feel a certain way or discover something new or think differently about a topic or simply find common ground.

And of course I’ve always thought I hated marketing. Who doesn’t? We all know marketing is everywhere and we all know we’re being manipulated. I never wanted to be one of “those” writers. Until I realized not all marketing is creepy. Not all marketing is only trying to “sell” something.

I stumbled into writing copy after joining a small non-profit team. We are working to make a difference in communities around the world. We are helping local partners build community centers, medical clinics, run after-school programs, sponsor kids, feed kids, teach computer classes, and the list goes on. And those partners need resources. And to get the right resoures to the right projects, they need websites. And those websites need copy. And I discovered a world of copywriting that not only prompted people to take action, but I knew I was writing words that were making a difference.

I would love to connect today about copywriting for your non-profit or other world-changing organization. You have a dream of making a difference in the world. Let me help you tell people about it.

Here are a few recent samples of “difference-making” copywriting.
